Glencar to Glenbeigh 12 km. October 7

We left the Climbers in this morning in more or less sunshine. The first part of the walk was through the woods

and many times we crossed fences using this method.

At one point we fully expected to see leprechauns or smurfs coming to greet us.
The following is a pic of the two way traffic main road we followed for a bit.  The teachers yesterday said you can tell the main roads by how they have lines painted
It's barely wide enough for one car!
This was the view from today's summit on one side

And then on the other.
The blackberries are so abundant and delicious - hard to focus on walking
Some of the greenery we saw today - fuchsia trees (!) some kind of palm and bamboo.  They rarely have frost here
And of course many hydrangeas
This one is just coming into bloom .
We have seen no wildlife yet.  Ireland has no snakes. Kind of a perfect country...

We checked into the Sleepy Camel
- a very tidy bed and breakfast...wandered downtown and shared fish and chips again...not sure why one would try anything different .  So good.  I see Miss USA is staying here too
